Yarn:Berroco Seduce (a blend of rayon,linen,silk,and nylon),color = Absinthe, 3 skeins (because that’s all the yarn shop had,it was on sale),needle size:US #7
Pattern from Knitted Laces of Estonia by Nancy Bush (my copy of this book was destroyed in the great kool-aid spill of 2012 and I can’t remember the name of the pattern)
This was my first lace project, knitted in 2009 to wear to my god-niece’s wedding. Frankly,it ended up with some changes because my yarn supply was limited and at that point in time I didn’t understand that if you used a different “weight”of yarn (as in a moderate versus lace),you needed a different weight of yarn (as in number of ounces/grams). It has a wonderful drape and heavy feel. Final length is 78″.

So beautiful and intricate! And I have one with such detail too! I am very very blessed…

I grew up on a steady diet of Tom Baker Doctor Who episodes. Maybe that’s what’s wrong with me?
(grin)
It may be insanely long, but it isn’t difficult…
